Welcome! We are extremely excited you are here! You can call us Katie and Brent, or better yet, Blu and B! We created Plant-Based Blu&B to celebrate delicious, nutritious food and share our passion for healing the body from the inside, through living a life fueled by whole plant-based foods. Let’s be honest, there is no denying that our bodies benefit from eating an abundance of nourishing fruits and vegetables. Furthermore, we genuinely feel better physically and mentally when we’re eating more plant-based foods.
Our journey to a whole food plant-based lifestyle has been slow and steady. There is this misconception that eating healthier comes in an “all or nothing” package. Will we get there someday? Absolutely! However, we are human and ate that cheesy slice of pizza at a birthday party a few months back, or snagged a perfectly smoked rib at the family BBQ this summer. It doesn’t happen often, but we didn’t beat ourselves up mentally when it did. We woke up the next day and started fresh! Not just because it is healthier, but because our gut tells us we must, or the trips to the bathroom will be endless.
Our goal is simply this: to inspire healing from the inside, through living a life fueled by plant-based foods.
Nourishing our bodies with whole plant-based foods is not the next fad or trendy diet. It is a lifestyle, and our way of living a healthy and abundant life for our children. All while helping the planet and teaching them that food is the fuel their bodies require to survive and thrive!

As we mentioned before, our journey to a whole food plant-based lifestyle is slow and steady. It is an adventure and gets messy, especially with little ones. Although, B and I have a passion for sharing nourishing plant-based or vegan recipes and celebrating how fun it is getting creative in the kitchen. Better yet, creating new recipes and exploring new flavors as a family is the best part!
